Apple and Samsung had long launched their payment service respectively – Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. And since then many smartphone makers in different countries are working on its own mobile payment service, Xiaomi is among them. On July 21 evening, Xiaomi holds a live show for MIUI 8. In this show, Xiaomi staff unveils and introduces the Mi Pay in details and in depth with the UI of Mi Pay. It is said Xiaomi and the Bank Union had finished the technology debug for Mi Pay, and Xiaomi will start an internal test in this August and launch it in public in the second half year of 2016.
Mi Pay features the same NFC payment solution as Apple Pay does, and works with China Bank Union’s Flash Pay for the secured payment. The leaked Mi Pay UI looks like Apple Pay, neat and simple. Xiaomi claims in the live show that they have successfully used Mi Pay in the restaurant and stores, and Xiaomi Mi5 will get Mi Pay on thanks to the NFC feature.
Except Mi Pay, Xiaomi staff also leaks the latest updates on Xiaomi Bus Card and Fingerprint Pay. The MIUI Team is pushing the adaption of NFC Bus Card and making it available in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, Suzhou and other cities. The MIUI Team clearly states Mi Fingerprint Pay will come meet users in Q3, namely the end of this September.
