Xiaomi launched Xiaomi Redmi Pro and Mi Notebook Air on July 27 in Beijing.
The Mi Notebook Air goes without MI logo on the front side, enabling customers and users to customize it with whatever they love – a case or a painting or a logo. It features full aluminium enclosure chasiss with the surface polished and goes in Golden and Silver. The 1.28 KG weight and 14.8mm thickness makes it light weighted and sleek to carry around. The display covers 80.1% of the forefront side with the screen seamless attached to the front side.
The 13.3 inches Mi Notebook Air powers Intel Core I5 6200U processor and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 1GB DDR5 standalone GPU, features 8GB DDR4 memory and 256GB SSD, support storage expansion by hard disk. The 1920*1080p display shows full HD image, and the AKG dual speaker plays clear sound. Windows 10 Home edition takes you no time to get used to it.
The 12.5 inches Mi Notebook Air features the same 1080p display, but powers different Intel Core M3 processor and features 4GB memory and 128GB SSD.The 12.5 inches Mi Notebook Air weights 1.07KG , and just like a magazine which you can put in a bag – more convenient than the 13.3 inches one to carry around. The other specifications remains same with the 13.3 inches one.
Today, we are going to unbox the 12.5 inches one and disassemble it.
The facet A goes without Xiaomi logo. Users can laser print any logo they love on this facet. Meanwhile Xiaomi also offer many different paper stickers.
The facet B goes with a Xiaomi logo. Something to remind you of Xiaomi.
Though Xiaomi Notebook Air looks similar to Apple Macbook Pro, it still looks appealing with the stunning display, fashion design and cool look.
The keyboard goes in white with backlit. And the keystroke for the 12.5 inches one is 1.3mm, and the one for the 13.3 inches one is better. The chocolate white design looks neat and clean.
The 12.5 inches one has smaller keycap, but same layout as the 13.3 inches one.
The touch panel is as cool as that on Apple Macbook.
Xiaomi Notebook Air goes with not many ports, the 12.5 inches one even has one less than the 13.3 inches one – USB 3.0, but that that is enough for user’s daily use. The 12.5 inches Xiaomi Notebook Air gets a HDMI, an ear jack, an USB 3.0, and an USB 3.1 Type C.
