Vivo holds a new product launch conference in Beijing in the evening of November 16 2016 ,unveiling three brand new smartphones – Vivo X9, Vivo X9 Plus and Vivo Xplay 6, and one VR Headset – Vivo VR.
Here are the main updates brought by these brand new products.
First of all, Vivo X9 and X9 Plus upgrade the forefront camera from 8MP to 20MP, and further equip one more assistant lense of 8MP to better virtualize the background. The 20MP camera is codeveloped with Sony in codename IMX376. Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus still go with 16MP rear camera. Vivo X9 goes with 5.5″ screen, while Vivo X9 Plus goes with 5.9″, both feature 1080p resolution. The difference Vivo X9 uses AMOLED screen, while X9 Plus uses IPS screen.
Secondly, Vivo X9 powers Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU coupled with 4GB Ram and 64GB Rom; while X9 Plus powers Snapdragon 653 coupled with 6GB Ram and 64GB Rom.
Thirdly, Vivo X9 packs a 3050mAh battery, while Vivo X9 Plus packs a 4000mAh battery and equips a dual stereo speakers. Both Vivo X9 and X9 Plus stay with 3.5mm ear jack and standard Micro USB port.
Fourthly, Vivo Xplay 6 stay with the screen with dual curved sides like Xplay 5. All Vivo X9, X9 Plus and Xplay 6 feature glass as forefront screen and metal enclosure chassis. Xplay 6 goes with 5.46″ screen in 2K resolution. Xplay 6 goes with 12MP camera from Sony. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU coupled with 6GB Ram and 128GB Rom lies inside Xplay 6 with a 4080mAh battery aside.
All the three brand new Vivo smartphones finally run on the latest FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0. The FunTouch OS 3.0 is more flat and enhanced in the background Apps management.
In regards of the pricing and the availability, the details is as follows. Vivo X9 will be available in Gold and Rose Gold for 2798 yuan ($430) and get on sale from November 24 2016; Xplay 6 will be on sale for 4498 yuan ($692) from December 12 2016; while Vivo X9 Plys will be on sale from December 26 2016 with pricing unknown.
