Smartisan denies to be acquired by LeEco

Smartisan CEO Luo Yonghao attended the launch conference of Coolpad’s Cool1 on August 17. And it is rumored that Smartisan may be sold to Coolpad’s biggest shareholder which is LeTV (aka LeEco).

After the launch conference of Coolpad’s Cool1, Tencent Tech tried to get confirmation from Luo Yonghao, but was rejected. And then Tencent Tech tried to contact him again with WeChat,and still get no reply as of this post.

Tencent Tech then turned to Coolpad CEO Liu Jiangfeng and LeEco VP Liu Hong. Liu Jiangfeng told Tencent Tech,” Luo Yonghao is my good friend, we take meals and chat tegother almost every day. I hadn’t addressed speech for one year, so I invited him to join me and give some advice.” And Liu Hong said,” We admire Luo Yonghao’s dream and discipline, Smartisan is good at craftmanship.”

Some other source said that Luo Yonghao has mortgaged a portion of Smartisan shares in Alibaba, meaning this is a hint that Alibaba may invest in Smartisan.
